hanel has come out with some goodies this year, and I recently dug into their Blurry Green and Blurry Mauve eyeshadow palettesChanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise Collection I also got, from their 2019 Cruise Collection, the Duo Bronze et Lumiere and the Contraste lipstick.  Our brand new Breezy Tee Khaki Boho Head Wrap was the perfect accessory for these products.

Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise CollectionBlurry Mauve was up first.  In this four pan compact, no one color actually looks mauve on the eye.  I found that once the colors blended together on the eye, it did give a mauve look. Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise Collection There is a nice, sophisticated wash of color. They blend out easily, with no fallout, and no dust.  The powders are almost creamy. I did need to apply a little bit more of the lighter colors, but overall, all four colors performed well.

Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise CollectionBlurry Green was the second look I tried.  The color payoff in this palette was more than the more subtle blurry mauve.  The color story in Blurry Green is just beautiful. I’m not a green eyeshadow gal, not at all, but of the four blurry eyeshadow compacts that were released, this was the one that drew me in the most. Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise Collection The colors work seamlessly together, and again, no fallout, or chalkiness. The green shadows are the perfect shades, if green eyeshadows intimidate you. I can’t say enough about this mighty, little, palette.  It made me excited to play around with green eyeshadows in the future.

Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise CollectionNext up was the Duo Bronze et Lumiere, in Medium.  I wasn’t sure about this palette, because the brown looked a little light for my complexion, but it turns out it swatches much darker than it looks in the pan.  It works are a contour/bronzer on my skin. What I love is it gives the skin a beautiful, subtle, glow. Nothing overpowering, just a natural glow.Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise Collection The gold highlighter can be built up till your heart’s content. I advise going in slowly, and building up, because a little goes a long way.  I think this is a really, really, lovely bronze and glow palette, and hope they come out with an even darker option next time.

Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise CollectionThe Rouge Coco Flash Contraste lipstick finished my look off.  It is incredibly hydrating, and feels wonderful on the lips.  This reddish plum lipstick wears like a glossy lipstick. I love a bit of shine on my lip, so I’m here for it.Chanel Blurry Green, Blurry Mauve and Cruise Collection  The color payoff was also more than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Now, it won’t stay on through lunch and kisses, but it is a really beautiful pigmented lipstick option, if you like a bit of gloss and lipstick.

Let me know which Chanel products you’ve picked up this year.
