The Chanel Holiday Collection 2019 — Les Ornements de Chanel is a wonderfully, elegant, collection. I picked up the Les 4 Ombre Lumiere Et Opulence, Ombre Premier in Pourpre Brun, Eclat Magnetique De Chanel Illuminating Powder in Metal Peach, and a Rouge Allure in Rouge Delicieux. I wore our Breezy Tee mustary yello Stretch Head Wrap for this video.
First up is the Lumiere Et Opulence eyeshadow palette. These are four shimmer shadows, that blend out seamlessly, and quickly. If you like a bit of pizzazz, but don’t love glitter, like me, you’ll love this quad. There is a khaki shadow, a gold/olive shadow, a champagne color and a brown/bronze shadow. They work beautifully together, or could work beautifully alone. This is a gorgeous eye palette, and all are pigmented eyeshadows.
Ombre Premiere in Pourpre Brun is one of two the single shadows released for the holidays. It’s a stunning plum/brown. This is more of a satin matte eyeshadow. It too is very easy to blend and would be beautiful for a single shadow look, but would also work well with other shadows.
The Illuminating Powder in Metal Peach is a stunner!! I’m was completely surprised by the performance of this highlighter. It is a powder that went on and wore like a cream highlighter. It didn’t emphasize any texture, and you couldn’t tell where it began or ended. Stunning formula that made me rethink powder highlighters. A little goes a long way, but it can certainly be built up.
I picked up Rouge Allure in Rouge Delicieux, and it was one of six red lipsticks released. As I’m not a fan of bright red lipsticks on me, I chose the pinky/red lipstick shade. Its satin finish is incredibly moisturizing, and it feels like nothing is on the lips. It has sheer pigmentation, but it can be built up.
