Gucci Beauty is slowly releasing products from their luxury makeup line, and I grabbed their Mat Naturel Beauty Powder, a Powder Eyebrow Pencil and their Mascara L’Obscur.  Rocking our Breezy Tee Navy Boho Head Wrap, I dug in! Gucci Face Powder, Brow Pencil and Mascara

Gucci Poudre de Beauty Mat Naturel Beauty Powder 06— The brand recently released 12 matte beauty powders.  They can be used under makeup, to touch up makeup as a finishing powder, or by itself, to enhance your natural complexion.  The powder is extremely soft, and almost has a creamy powder texture.  It blends out easily and beautifully.  I got 06, as I typically only use powder to highlight, not as a finishing powder, so a slightly lighter color suits me perfectly.  I also find it works beautifully under foundation.  It really gives my skin a smooth, almost filtered, finish, without taking away the glow of a foundation.  There is no need for powder on top of my foundation, once I use it underneath, and it prolongs the life of my foundation.

The powder is refillable, which is important, because that will create less waste.  The compact also comes with a powder puff, which you can use to apply the powder.  It works well, if you’re into puffs.  With 12 shades, this is certainly brown girl friendly, and will suit many skin tones.

Crayon Definition Sourcils Powder Eyebrow Pencil 04— Another recent release from the brand was the eyebrow pencil.  There are 6 in all, and the one I got is incredibly pigmented.  Some brow pencils make you work for color, Gucci’s does not.  I have to use a light hand, because it can get dark quickly.  I LOVE that, because I don’t like spending lots of time on my brows, and this pencil gets me in and out.  Every brow pencil comes with a sharpener, and because how easily color appears, the pencil should last a little while.  I am going to most certainly get a lighter color as well, I love it that much.

Mascara L’Obscur Eve Black– This is a really lovely mascara.  One of the things I absolutely love about it is the wand.  The mascara wand is beautifully narrow, which allows me to easily get very close to my inner lash line, with complete control.  I’m able to apply mascara to individual lashes as well.  It is a very black color, and with a single coat, you can get a natural, but elevated lash look.  I absolutely love the sophisticated finished look.

The packaging for these Gucci products is a very chic peach tan and gold.  Where gold can go gaudy, the peach tan color seems to balance it beautifully.  It looks elegant, and is a color combination that really works.  The Powder Compact has a mirror in it, and the area that the refillable powder goes.  You then lift that up, and underneath is where the powder puff is.  So, the whole thing is luxurious, and fabulous.

The mascara is in a slim peach tan tube, with a gold top.  If mascara can be sexy, this is it.  It’s super chic.  The pencil has the shade color on it, so you know what you’re getting, and the “Gucci” gold writing on every product gives a chic touch as well.

I don’t know what their plans are, but the seemingly random way they are releasing products is very intriguing, and these, along with their lipsticks are really big hits.  Can’t wait to see what is next!

  1. Hello! Great post and very informative. Can I ask what color in foundation you use for MAC, Fenty? I can’t decide which shade to get in Gucci’s face powder, I was originally going to get shade no. 7.
    • Hi Donna, Sorry for the late reply, I've just seen your comment. Thank you for your comment. I wear 350 in Fenty. Honestly, there were a couple of Gucci powders that would have been okay for me to wear.
