atasha Denona did not come to play with the Bloom Blush & Glow Palette. It is the perfect makeup palette for spring and summer, to give you varying degrees of glow and color. Wearing our XL Satin Sleep Scarf in coral, Pantone’s color of the year, I put this blush & highlighter palette to the test.
According to Natasha, this palette can be used on the cheeks, eyes, and even the lips, which initially intrigued me. I love a multipurpose makeup product. They’re perfect for travel. The case is a beautiful, sturdy peach colored reflective case. Inside is a really good mirror (yay for that) and there are four pans. Two are cream formulas, two are powder. There is even a little plastic cover for the creams, so none of the powder will get on them. I LOVE attention to detail, and this palette has it.
The standout color has to be the cranberry red cream blush that just pulls you in. It can look intimidating, as this is an extremely rich blush color. However, once on, it easily blends out into the most beautiful raspberry color. It is extremely pigmented, so a little goes a long way. So, I’d advise starting with a little bit, and then build up from there. I love how the cream blush gives your cheeks an instant glow, and you can go from subtle blush color to in your face color.
Then we have the Glow Cream Base, which is a peachy/rose gold color highlighter. Natasha Denona has the most helpful tutorials on her Instagram page, so I went in the order she did in her tutorial. This cream base is to lay down the foundation for the glow powders. It gives the most beautiful, subtle glow. So, for a very natural glow, you can certainly just put the cream base on and stop there. If you want to keep going, the cream base will add even more intensity to the powders.
The third step is the Duo Glow, which is a beautiful coral powder glow. I proceeded to put this product, with a synthetic brush, on the high points of my face. The glow is gorgeous!! This one is for the woman who ones to go a step further than subtlety. Again, you can certainly stop here, or go for that glass like glow.
The final step is the Glow Extreme. This is a peach colored glow powder, and boy oh boy, does this take your glow to the next level. With a smaller brush, I just put this one on the high points of my cheeks. No more was necessary. It’s so powerful, you just need to place it sparingly. What I was left with was a glass like effect on my face. Stunning!!! It’s the perfect final step to a fierce glow. What I loved was you could appreciate the different layers on this face palette alone, but they also all melded together.
Because I wanted to use this palette in all the ways it says I could, I used the Cream Blush & Duo Glow on my eyes. They both gave such a beautiful wash of color that made a very pretty eyeshadow combination.
Finally, I put some of the same Cream Blush and used it as a stain on my lips. It was much more pleasant on my lips than I anticipated. I simply patted it on my lips and then put a little duo glow in the center of my lips for a highlighter effect. I’m not typically into bold lipstick shades, but this wears beautifully.
Natasha Denona knows her glow, and is known for some of the best highlighter palettes around, and this Bloom Blush & Glow palette is exquisite, and perfect for all skin tones. I was able to achieve the same look on the model on myself, and as far as makeup goes, there is nothing more satisfying. This was absolutely one of my best highlighter looks I’ve done.
