Pat McGrath Labs has done it again.  Their new Sublime Perfection Concealers and Sublime Perfection Under Eye Powders are out, and in just a few short years, they’ve set the bar for quality.  My word!! There are thirty-six in all, and I grabbed two concealers and one of the three under eye powder.  I also finally got into my Mthrshp Decadence Eyeshadow Palette and Fetish Lip Balms.  Wearing our Khaki Boho Head Wrap, I dug in.

As someone in their early forties, I find concealers are more important than ever for me.  They can hide a multitude of sins, and it’s a product that has become crucial in my minimal routine.  The problem for me has been finding the one that does just what I want it to do. Enter Pat McGrath Labs.

The Sublime Perfection Concealer is full coverage, creamy, and claims not to sink into fine lines and dry the under eye.  I grabbed # 16 and #18.  As I said there are 36, to correspond with the 36 foundations.  So, whatever color you are in the brand’s foundation, that is also your concealer shade.  Now, they suggest going down a number or two if you want more brightness.

So, they are absolutely full coverage, and a little goes a long way.  I suggest starting with just a little, and build up, if you need more.  My problems, of late, have been a couple of fine lines, and the occasional dark circles.  I’m increasingly finding things sink into my fine lines and it drives me nuts. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH THIS CONCEALER!! Excuse the caps, but I have been so impressed with how these concealers perform.  It blurs beautifully, and it has not sunk into my lines, even hours later. I use #18 as my normal concealer, down my nose, and to cover any dark spots. I use #16 when I want that extra bit of brightness.  It is an instant fave, and blends out so easily. Dyrness is also something I tend to have, especially in the colder months, and these concealers have not left my eyes dry. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a full coverage concealer.

The Sublime Perfection Under Eye Powder claims to blur, and cover dark circles.  It is super soft. There are three shades, and I grabbed the medium shade.  What a gorgeous powder. It absolutely blurred and covered my dark circles. Paired with the concealer, my face is so put together I can’t stand it.  I now prefer this powder under my eyes, and the PMGL loose powder in all the other places I put a little powder.

I also finally dug into my Mthrshp Decadence Eyeshadow Palette.  I have wanted this thing for a couple of years, and kept missing my chance, until December, when the Star Wars Decadence Palette was released.  It is in gorgeous gold packaging, but the inside houses the stunning shadows I’d been waiting impatiently for. I think this eye palette will continue to be released in different packaging.

So, there are ten shadows, and no mattes.  Considering Pat McGrath has one of the top matte eyeshadow formulas out there, it’s a bold move to not include any.  As per usual, the shadows of these shadows are top notch, incredibly pigmented and stunning.  I experience no fallout, and you can go a million places with the palette. Even with no mattes, you can make subtle to not so subtle looks.  It’s a winner.

I also got two Fetish Balms that were released in the Star Wars packaging.  One was sent by mistake by the brand, so that is how I ended up with two.  The Fetish Balm in Nude was a no for me.  It was a sparkle bomb.  It felt moisturizing, but I couldn’t get over the glitter.  It looks way too young for me. It also has an iridescence to it, so two things I hate in a lip product.  Now the Lip Balm in Flesh 3 was THE best surprise.  It’s a beautiful warm, red, and you’d never guess it was a balm.  It’s more pigmented than proper lipsticks from other brands. It’s stunning, moisturizing.  This one is a keeper.
