Sonia G. makes my favorite makeup brushes.  Fact!! These fude, natural goat hair bristle, brushes are incredibly soft, incredibly efficient, and just plain beautiful to look at.  The Sky Eye Set saw some new shapes for Sonia G. Handmade in Kumano, Japan, this set is another winner!

Jumbo Blender– I love a big eye brush.  For me, these are the perfect makeup brushes for laying down a single shadow, when I just want a wash of color on my eyes.  It’s big enough that a couple of strokes the whole eye.  I also find this brush is big enough to use for taking highlighter down the nose.  It’s versatile, soft and makes blending seamless.

Mini Booster– This is a small but mighty crease brush.  This is perfect for those of us with hooded eyes.  It gets the product right in the crease.  Again, super soft, and picks up a beautiful amount of product.  For more precision in the crease, this one is a winner.

Mini Booster

Soft Shader– This is the lone white bristle brush in the collection, making it perfect for creams and powders.  It’s actually a sizable brush.  I wasn’t expecting it to be as big as it is.  It lays down products very well on the lids.  Because of its size, it can be a little tricky in the inner corners.  It picks up a decent amount of product, but still allows you to build, should you want to.

Flat Definer– This one was a pleasant surprise.  It is a smaller brush, but it’s so perfectly flat, it makes for the perfect under eye brush.  It got the eyeshadows incredibly close to the lash line.  It’s incredibly soft, so it doesn’t irritate what is a sensitive part of the eye.  Perfect for smoking out that lower lash line, because it really gets that product just where you want it.  LOVE this one.  I also use it for brow bone application.

Classic Crease— Listen, can you ever have too many crease brushes?  This is a beautiful brush that allows for crease work, but can also blend product all over the eye, and buff out any harsh lines.  It’s versatile, and a lovely addition to this set.

Sonia also recently released a gorgeous handcrafted makeup Brush Holder, made of walnut.  The box is a piece of art.  It’s minimal, but impactful, to hold your brushes, pencils, concealers, or whatever you want in there.  I like to display my brushes in it.   There are 3 movable dividers in the holder, that allows you to customize the sections.  Stunning piece, made in Japan as well, and it’s really nice to see Sonia branch out from brushes.

The Natasha Denona Mini Retro Palette is a fun, spring/summer eye palette.  If the larger ND palettes intimidate you, and you want to try her eyeshadows, I think her minis are a great place to start.  This Retro Palette has five shadows, with greens, pinks, being the overall color story.  The two matte eyeshadows are a stunning powder to cream formula that darkens as you blend them out.  The green matte is a perfect shade to create a smoky look.  The more rosey/peach matte shadow is perfect when you just want one color on the eye.  She has two chunky glitter shadows.  One is more of a pink color, with some iridescence.  Honestly, it’s my least favorite shade.  There is too much glitter, and the color is not particularly interesting to me.  But, the other is a khaki silver shade.  It’s gorgeous, and while there is fallout and glitter, it’s worth it.  The other shimmer is a very pretty peach shade.  So, you can certainly play around with this palette and come up with different looks. It’s tiny enough to throw in your bag, and the minis are her most affordable eye palettes.

Finally I tried out the new Guerlain Terracotta Nude Glow Powder, that is part of their summer collection, which includes bronzers as well.  It’s a beautiful, subtle highlighter.  It is finely milled and goes on so smoothly, and blends out the same.  The color is a peachy gold, and is flattering on all different skin tones.  Now, Guerlain is a perfume house, so there is a scent.  I love it.  It reminds me of warm weather.  The packaging is gorgeous, with an inlay design.  If you’re like me, and love a sophisticated, subtle, glow this is a beautiful option.  It can also be built up, if that is your preference.  Chic, luxurious, Guerlain!!
